2019 Geocaching Weekend

There are more than 100 geocaches in the Genesee County Parks and now you can join the hunt with the Auto City Cachers.  Geoaching is like a modern-day treasure hunt, but instead of a worn map marked with an X, you use a GPS receiver, a set of coordinates and sometimes even clues to find treasure, a cache of goodies hidden in an eco-friendly site above ground.  Geocachers will receive a free commemorative coin and be eligible for door prizes. There will be a potluck meal at 5pm on Saturday. The Auto City Cachers will supply the hotdogs and buns.  Camping is available at the E.A. Cummings Event Center on Friday and Saturday nights, May 17-18.  Camping reservations can be made by calling 800-648-PARK, ext. 6.

For all ages and abilities.

Time: Registration begins at 9am on Saturday.  Cost: Geocaching is FREE!  Camping fees are per night.
