Get Out and Hike – Edible Plant Hike

Inspired by the #optoutside movement For-Mar has started a Get Out and Hike monthly hiking meet up.  This month’s meet up will have us hiking the trails to search and identify plants that we can eat.  Foraging for wild edibles is a great way to get in touch with nature, get active and healthy!  And what better place to learn the basics of foraging than in YOUR Genesee County Parks!  This one hour walk will focus on the principles behind safe and sustainable foraging and will introduce you to a variety of edible plants found growing naturally in our ecosystem.  Come dressed for the weather.

For all ages and abilities.

Cost: Free.

Pre-registration is required 8/22/19.
