Calling all kids! On July 14 and 15, your mini-miners can have fun panning for gold at the Crossroads Village mining camp and then trade some of their “treasure” for take-home items at the Crossroads Village Trading Post.
Many of the Village tradespeople, such as our barber and the Village blacksmith, will also be on hand to demonstrate 19th century professions that were essential to the lives of villagers.
Grownups, there is plenty for you and your children to do together, too.
- Visit the historic homes and shop in the Village that were moved here from around Genesee County.
- Take a spin on the beautifully restored Parker-designed Carousel, and view the Village from the top of Parker’s 1910 Superior Wheel. Crossroads Village is the only place in the world where you can experience two of Parker’s remarkable amusement rides side-by-side and still in operation!
- Pack a picnic or enjoy everything from snacks to full meals at dining options right in the Village.
- Panning for gold
Round out your day with a ride through the countryside on the Huckleberry Railroad and a cruise around Mott Lake on the Genesee Belle.
The Village is open on both days from 10 am to 5 pm. Be sure to purchase your tickets in advance. Parking, as always, is FREE.
