Science Day

Saturday, June 15 will be the 2019 Science Day Event – Journey through Science and Explore the Possibilities! Thank you to our event sponsors, Parker’s Propane!

We will have:

  • Kettering University – First Robotics Community Center will be in the Mill Street Warehouse along with Robotics Teams allowing park visitors the opportunity for hands on exploration of robotics for all ages. Play games guided by the 2019 First Robotics theme, Destination: Deep Space
  • Great Lakes Chiropractic & Movement Center will be here to help park visitors to think outside of the box and move to the challenge of “Deep Space” constraints
  • Michigan Science Center will be here with 10 stations of activities in the Clayton Township Hall and Solar Telescopes (weather permitting)
  • Longway Planetarium will be in the Flint Meeting Hall with a space craft to create, make and take
  • Delta College mobile STEM Explorer Lab will be here with a mobile science laboratory and creative space complete with the latest technologies and hands on activities for Middle School kids near Calkins Barn
  • UM-Flint will be here with a Pop Up School – Education Outside Your Door Program is a mobile classroom that provides high quality, play-based literacy, math, science, and social studies activities for young children near the Stanley School House
  • For-Mar Nature Preserve Truck Farm will be in the Village Green to explore what Gardens in Space would be like
  • Huckleberry Railroad Shop Tours at 1:00pm, 2:00pm and 3:00pm. Take a trolley ride to tour the train shop! Limited space available.
