Nature gives us so much, sometimes it’s good to give back. Since 1970, that’s been the spirit behind For-Mar Nature Preserve and Arboretum. With 383 acres of carefully preserved Michigan flora and fauna and one of the state’s finest collections of rare trees, For-Mar is where Michigan goes to learn about–-and from–-the best of the world around us. To learn more about our 40th anniversary celebration, click here. For-Mar Nature Preserve and Arboretum. Because some things are worth preserving. Turns out, they’re just around the corner. If there’s one thing in this world more uniquely satisfying than getting out onto a golf course, it’s getting out onto a golf course with a flying disc and tossing it around. At least that’s the way we prefer it at Goldenrod Disc Golf Course. It’s a full-size, 18-basket course where you’ll never need expensive clubs and little white balls to have a good time. Sure, disc golf (like life) may seem a little odd. But it’s also a lot of fun. Best of all, it’s just around the corner. At your Genesee County Parks.

What is Disc Golf?
It's played much like traditional golf, but instead of a club and ball, players use a flying disc, or Frisbee. The object is to complete each hole (basket) in the fewest number of strokes or throws.
Who plays Disc Golf?
Everyone!
Goldenrod Disc Golf Course is operated by the Genesee County Parks and Recreation Commission, and is located at 6405 Irish Road, Davison. For more information, please contact Nancy Edwards, recreation program specialist, at 810.736.7100.
