about them last year. What a great way to spend an evening
out. It is definitely cost effective, very entertaining, and
just plain fun. We plan to invite more friends to go with us
this year in our effort to spread the word. Keep up the good
work.” ~ Ray and Karen,

“We have been
to several radio hour broadcasts and have loved each of them
for the variety and just plain old-fashioned fun
entertainment!
We treated our mother with tickets the past 2 years for her
birthday and now that is all she wants this year! We invited
friends to the Holiday performance, they enjoyed it so much,
they're bringing their families this year. What a treat at a
time when we all need to sit down, relax, and enjoy an hour
of life as it was back then! Please keep these coming!” ~ Carl and Joanie Snyder,

Jan Krist & Jim Bizer ~ May 29, 2010
Jan Krist and Jim Bizer will make their
Huckleberry Radio Hour debut on May 29th at Crossroads Village’s Colwell
Opera House. These Detroit natives first made music together while still
teenagers, and have individually garnered acclaim as songwriters and
performers.
Jan Krist is a four-time Detroit Music Award winner, Entertainment
Weekly praised her "breathtaking vocal leaps” and said that she "makes
soul-searching more enjoyable than it has any right to be." Billboard
Magazine called her “Unreservedly recommended”
Jim Bizer is an award-winning songwriter.
His song "We Are All Connected", a moving 9/11 testament, won the grand
prize in the Great American Song Contest and led to an appearance at the
Mountain Stage NewSong Festival West Virginia. Jim has been a finalist
(three times!) in the New Folk songwriting competition at the Kerrville
Folk Festival in Texas. His songs range from humorous to thoughtful.
Their latest CD

reviews across the country.
Dan Hall ~ June 19, 2010
Dan Hall will

House. Dan is a singer and songwriter who takes common themes and finds
unique ways to blend them into uncommonly good music.
The Michigan
native has been performing since the age of 10, and has been a Flint
area favorite for years.
Dan has
a stand-up comic’s sense of timing and an impersonator’s facial
flexibility. He turns up laughter when least expected, and can make you
feel the stories he tells about ordinary people caught up in
extraordinary events, such as the Sit-Down Strike of 1936-37, or the
sinking of the legendary Edmund Fitzgerald. He’s even co-created and
produced scores for award-winning PBS television documentaries and
recorded a commercial jingle or two

North America interviewing everyone from Arlo Guthrie, to Pete Seger,
and as a musician he has shared a stage with Tom Paxton, Shawn Colvin
and Peter Yarrow and many more.
Matt sings songs of
compassion, inner strength, humor, and every day living. He sings songs
that you will feel and remember for a long time. You will love his
music, you will love the journey that his music takes you on, and you
will love the place that his music takes you to.
