Get in your daily run or walk at YOUR Genesee County Parks
Check out the new walking trail map for Richfield County Park. The map features a designated walking area with distances marked for your convenience.

  • Ball Diamonds.

  • Bicycle Motocross Track (BMX). Open to the public except for scheduled race dates.

  • Canoe Launching Site, Flint River, north side of park.

  • Cross Country Ski Trails, south side of the park. Facilities open when the terrain is frozen and there is a 3" accumulation of snow.  Please remember that snow accumulation on the ground is not an indicator of frozen terrain.  For dates and times facilities will be open for these activities, please call 810.736.7100

  • Pavilions (available for rental).

  • Picnic Areas and Playground.

  • Snowmobile Area. Open 24 hours. Facilities open when the terrain is frozen and there is a 3" accumulation of snow.  Please remember that snow accumulation on the ground is not an indicator of frozen terrain.  For dates and times facilities will be open for these activities, please call 810.736.7100 North end of park closed for snowmobiles.

  • Tennis Courts.

No alcohol or illegal substances allowed. Park rangers will issue tickets with fines of up to $100 for all violations.

PUNK ROPE is like recess crossed with boot camp; it’s fun fitness for everybody. Punk Rope combines creative conditioning drills, games, and rope jumping. Benefits include improved aerobic capacity, body composition, bone density, and coordination. WORKSHOP INCLUDES: CECs (6–AFAA, .7–ACE), Manual, DVD, 2 CDs, Rope, Playlists, & Lesson Plans. Conducted by Punk Rope founder, Tim Haft and Punk Rope director of training, Shana Brady. This 6 week certification program earns your puppy the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppysm distinction. Get information on all of your puppy-raising questions including housetraining, chewing, and the most effective way to teach practical skills. AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy training is a natural lead in to the AKC® Canine Good Citizen® Program. For adults, ages 16 and older. Time: 7-8pm. Cost: $20 per puppy. Pre-registration required by 07/15/09. Class is open to pure and mixed bred puppies 6 mos.-1 year old. Shots must be current and a copy of shot record must be presented at first class. Puppies who exhibit aggressive behavior toward people or other animals will not be tolerated.

Canine Good Citizen® Program

This 6 week certification program is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The program stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who successfully complete the class and pass the test will receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. For adults, ages 16 and older. Time: 8-9pm. Cost: $20 per dog. Pre-registration required by 07/15/09. Class is open to pure and mixed bred dogs who are one year of age or older. Shots must be current and a copy of shot record must be presented at first class. Dogs who exhibit aggressive behavior toward people or other animals will not be tolerated.
