A “Superior” Summer! May 29-31 Celebrate the 100th anniversary of our C.W. Parker Superior Wheel. It sits side-by-side with our beloved Carousel making Crossroads Village the only place on earth where you can enjoy rides on two authentic C.W. Parker amusements!

Settling Down in a New Territory June 2-6 Experience life as it was in the mid-1800s when families settled into new lives in Michigan. Lend a hand as gardens are being planted. Learn about the businesses that were first to open in a new town.
Folk Lore, Legends and Myths June 9-13 Enjoy the folk tales that tell of this state’s origins and the role of legends like Paul Bunyon and his blue ox, Babe, who wore green glasses in winter!
Sounds Old Fashioned to Me June 16-20 Enjoy the sounds that filled the air in the 1800s and that still delight us at Crossroads Village - the grist mill wheels grinding, the school bell clanging, the hissing of the boiler that powers the apple press, the rhythmic chug of the Huckleberry Railroad steam engine and many others you’ll hear when you pause to listen.

Gardens in Thyme June 23-27 Learn from the Michigan State Master Gardeners and the Genesee County Herb Society how our ancestors used plants to add warmth, fragrance, health and beauty to their country life. Cooking and craft demonstrations, too!
Independence Day Festival June 30-July 4 Honor our ancestors’ independent, self-sufficient lifestyles, and spend time this weekend with friends and family celebrating this country’s independence. July 1st at Crossroads Village The Music in the Parks 2010 series opens with the Flint Symphony Orchestra and members of the Flint Jubilee Chorale as they put on a thrilling concert with a patriotic twist! Show starts at 7:00 pm Don't forget your lawn chair or blanket! Crossroads will open at 5pm for MITP guests. Rain location will be at the Millstreet Warehouse
Performances are free. Admission to Crossroads Village will be free after 5:00 pm the day of the concert. Donate to Music in the Parks by June 1, 2010 to secure priority seating! Call Joyce Vincent at 810.237.3110 for more information.
Magic and its Mysteries July 7-11 It’s a weekend of magic at the Village when you’ll see all kinds of slight-of-hand tricks!
Huckleberry Hustle and Little Berry Dash July 8 The Hustle is a mixed-terrain 5K run/walk through Crossroads Village and surrounding woods and meadows. Little Berry Dashers, who are kids six years and under, will “dash” around the Village and collect prizes as they go. All Dashers are winners! Download race forms here!
Smiths, Millers and Trades July 14-18 Meet the skilled trades people at the Village who hammer out horseshoes, grind grain, weave fabric and make many other essential items just as they did in Genesee County more than 100 years ago.

1860s Village Celebration July 21-25 Our 1860 ancestors' lifestyle will be the focus of this experience. On Saturday and Sunday the 1860s come alive as Villagers demonstrate everyday activities such as cooking over a camp fire, gardening and letter writing at “camps” around the Village. Welcome soldiers at the train depot as they arrive home from the Civil War. Take etiquette lessons at a tea party and enjoy fashions from the time of Gone with the Wind.
Puppets and Playtime July 28-August 1 “Use and reuse” is our motto at Crossroads Village, and you may leave wanting to clean out your sock drawer! Explore playtime of years gone by. Meet the Village puppets and make your own sock puppet. On Saturday and Sunday, watch a puppet play.
Railfans August 4-8 The entire week is dedicated to trains. On August 7th and 8th celebrate our famous Huckleberry Railroad with tours, demonstrations and model trains. Tour our Train Shop, which is only open to the public this weekend.
Around the World in 1860 August 11-15 Travel around the world with us as we discover the countries that were originally home to our villagers. You’ll learn where their skills originated and where some of their exotic products and family treasures came from. Join us Saturday, August 14 for the 33rd Annual AACA car show! Day Out With Thomas™ August 20-22 and 27-29 Thomas the Tank Engine visits the Village with his friends for six full days. This is a special treat for children, complete with train rides, storytelling, live music and so much fun! Click here for more information.
Grange Fair September 1-6 Celebrate the end of summer and a bountiful harvest. This country fair includes festive music, seed spitting and plenty of good old-fashioned fun!
Labor Day Note: The Village will be closed beginning September 7. Come back and visit beginning October 2 when we reopen to celebrate Halloween!
