Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad
50 Years. One Village. Countless Memories.
In 2026, step away from the pace of modern life and help us celebrate 50 years of memories at Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad. Travel back to a simpler time in an authentic Great Lakes town reminiscent of the turn of the last century, featuring 34 historic structures and a welcoming community ready to greet you.
Ride the iconic Huckleberry Railroad, take in a performance at the Colwell Opera House, and watch traditional trades come to life through skilled artisans. As we mark this milestone anniversary, we invite you to be part of the celebration — honoring the past, enjoying the present, and making new memories that will last for generations to come.
This summer the Huckleberry Railroad will feature the rebuilt diesel, Engine #12, pulling the train on Thursdays. Engine #152 our coal-fired locomotive built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works, will pull the train on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The narrow-gauge railroad’s collection of cars includes 11 original and replica wooden coaches, plus a classic red wooden caboose.
