What’s the buzz about bees? For-Mar is home to some of our favorite pollinator friends – the Italian and Carniolan Honeybee mix (Apis Mellifera) which just means honey bee. They utilize the variety of wild flower and tree blossoms on the For-Mar property to produce their honey in our apiary.

For-Mar Staff work with local beekeeper Jim Withers to manage our 4 hives located on the property. Jim is the owner of Withers Mountain Honey Farm, in Flint, only 1 mile from For-Mar. Visit the Withers Mountain Honey Farm to learn more. https://www.facebook.com/withersmountainhoney/

Visitors can purchase For-Mar Honey in the gift shop located inside the Visitor Center. You can also have the opportunity to watch the beekeeping process in action various times throughout the year in popular programs at For-Mar.  Check our calendar for upcoming dates
